Here are clever tips and tricks you should keep in mind while taking care of your garden-

1. Make your own Greenhouse

If you feel the necessity to sow the seeds indoor especially during the spring season, you can create a mini greenhouse of your own. Save the plastic clamshell container or plastic egg cartons with a closing lid. Punch a few holes on the top part for proper airflow and poke a hole in the bottom part of the container for drainage purposes. Fill the bottom part with the potting mix and plant your seeds by spreading them in the container. Sprinkle them with water, close the lid and place them in a sunny spot so that it can get the perfect heat and humidity it needs to grow. Enjoy the sprouting seeds after a couple of days.

2. Raised Garden Beds

Your garden getting ruined because of those unwanted pests and rodents! Use this method to get rid of them. Raise your garden beds and put everything in them. It is not a permanent cure for sure but can act as a deterrent and help in its reduction.
Raise the soil to a little hill when planting a row of seeds. It helps in making the seed grow faster as the soil around it gets warmer.

3. Grow Potatoes in Recycling Bin

This method is one of the best ways to use your empty recycling bins. Toss some potato seeds into the bin with a lot of dirt and leave them alone. Top up the soil from time to time over the season and make sure that they have enough space to grow. You are going to get amazing results out of it and enough potatoes to feed your family.

4. Recycled Seed Starters

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! If you an ardent follower of this policy, then this is the perfect hack for you to practice it. Get those empty toilet paper tubes, cut them into two, place them in a waterproof tray and plant your seeds by adding potting soil in it. When the seedlings are ready to move into the garden, transplant the cardboard tubes into the garden space. Add lots of water in the tubes to help them breakdown and get decomposed into the garden.
